Xcode remote debugging for iPhone — over a different Wi‑Fi.

Apple’s wireless debugging dies the moment your Mac and iPhone aren’t on the same network. Nuticast keeps the device visible so Xcode can debug it remotely — over whichever mesh VPN you already run: Tailscale, ZeroTier, or Netbird. The iPhone must stay on Wi‑Fi (home, a tester’s office, another building). Cellular doesn’t work.

Three steps. Then Xcode just works.

Pair while you’re on the same Wi‑Fi. When the phone joins another Wi‑Fi, flip the bridge on.

Pair on Wi‑Fi

While the iPhone is still local, Nuticast remembers it.

02

Link your mesh VPN

Match that phone to its device on Tailscale, ZeroTier, or Netbird.

03

Bridge when remote

When it’s on another Wi‑Fi, start the bridge — Xcode keeps seeing it.

Every device in one window

Menu bar for status. Full window to manage paired iPhones and iPads — which mesh VPN device they’re linked to, and whether the bridge is live.

Built for real Xcode workflows

Know if the phone is reachable

Clear status — connected, not responding, or unreachable — instead of a silent Xcode fail.

Stays out of the way on local Wi‑Fi

The bridge only runs when the iPhone has left your network. Normal local debugging is untouched.

Survives network changes

If your Mac switches Wi‑Fi or a VPN reconnects, the bridge comes back on its own.

No account. Your mesh, your rules.

Nothing to sign up for. Traffic stays on the Tailscale, ZeroTier, or Netbird network you already run.

Why this exists

I needed to debug on a real device when I wasn’t near my Mac — Simulator wasn’t enough. Once the mesh VPN bridge was solid for my own workflow, I shipped it — then added ZeroTier and Netbird once other developers asked for them.

What it doesn’t do

  • No account, no sign-in, no telemetry.
  • No cloud relay — traffic stays on your mesh VPN network.
  • No replacement for Tailscale, ZeroTier, Netbird, or Xcode — it bridges what they already do.
